Your wedding is one of the most memorable and exciting days of your life, and our hotel is here to ensure you can have the wedding you and your partner have dreamed of!
Can we have exclusive use of the hotel?
We don’t offer exclusive use of the hotel, however we only host one wedding per day.
Are you licensed for civil ceremonies?
Yes we have a license for civil ceremonies in our Summit and Lakeside Suites.
Can we have the wedding ceremony outdoors?
Unfortunately, we do not offer this, however we have lovely gardens for your drinks reception.
What time does the reception need to finish?
Our license is until midnight.
Is confetti allowed?
We allow biodegradable confetti outside.
Are candles allowed?
We allow battery operated candles.
Is there accommodation on site?
Yes, we have 119 bedrooms and offer a discount for your guests.
Can we bring in our own caterers / food?
Unfortunately, our health & safety policy does not allow you to bring in your own food.
Can we bring our dog to the wedding?
Yes, we can allow your pet in the Ceremony if the Registrar is aware and that they have agreed to them being in the room. Unfortunately, we can’t allow them in the Wedding Breakfast and Evening Reception.
Can you move the dressed chairs from the ceremony room into the main room for us?
Unfortunately, we are unable to move furniture during your Wedding Reception as this causes a health & safety issue. If you want dressed chairs in the ceremony room and the reception room, you will need to pay for both sets of chairs to be dressed.
Is it possible for us to have the ceremony elsewhere and just have the reception at the Hotel?
Yes of course! We are a flexible venue and are happy to host your day for you.
Can we bring in our own suppliers?
Yes of course! As a flexible venue, we allow you to bring in your own suppliers. All we will require is a copy of the below documents for each of your suppliers:

What is a Wedding Breakfast?
The wedding breakfast does not mean you are having scrambled eggs on toast. The term comes from the 17th century when weddings were often part of a religious Mass. Couples would fast before the service and the meal after the ceremony broke their fast. It is called the wedding breakfast as this is the first meal you are eating together as a married couple and therefore named after the first meal you would usually have in the day, which is breakfast.
What is the deposit to secure a date?
We ask for £500 as a non-refundable, and non-transferrable deposit to secure the date you require.
What are your payment terms?
We ask for 50% of your balance to be paid 3 months prior to your Wedding Day. Then 14 days before your Wedding we ask that your final balance is paid in full.
Can we have access the day before to decorate?
Access the day before is subject to availability and may come at a cost. If you would like guaranteed access the day before, you are best booking the rooms needed as part of your package. Costs for these can be discussed with your Wedding Co-ordinator.
